New giraffe born in Denmark zoo

At Copenhagen Zoo in Denmark, a giraffe calf is born as keepers watch closely, marking the third birth of the year. The newborn appears in close-up shots, its head emerging before it falls to the ground moments after birth. Staff move in quickly to clear its airways, while the mother starts licking the calf to help it breathe and stand.

Observers watch the scene as the mother continues to clean and nuzzle her newborn. The calf begins to move and lift its head, still unsteady on its legs.

In the following minutes, the mother giraffe stays close, licking the calf’s face and neck. The newborn responds by shifting on the ground, already showing early signs of coordination as it adjusts to life outside the womb
