Brodie Kostecki has shaken off his miserable sprint race performance to snare provisional pole for the second race of the Darwin Triple Crown.
Kostecki will be the last driver to have a solo attempt in the top-10 shootout after securing the fastest lap in one minute 6.053 seconds ahead of Saturday afternoon's 200km, 70-lap race.
It comes after the Dick Johnson Racing driver coughed up a golden opportunity to win Friday's sprint race at Hidden Valley Raceway after securing pole position, only to give up a podium spot altogether.
Cam Waters, the winner of Friday's sprint race, continued his blistering form in Darwin, finishing second by a mere 0.040 seconds with Grove Racing's Matt Payne in third under the beaming sun.
