Leaked 'Avengers: Doomsday' clip hints at massive MCU moment — but it might be a fake

Robert Downey Jr. in the "Avengers: Doomsday" casting reveal trailer.

We're just a little under seven months away from the premiere of "Avengers: Doomsday," but some people can't wait to share the details of the latest MCU movie. At least, that's what we can guess, based on the fact that some people on the internet may have leaked a major scene from the upcoming Marvel film.

On June 13, 2026, footage seemingly leaked on X (Twitter) showing a major battle between Doctor Doom, the Avengers and the X-Men. I don't want to spoil what's going on, but let's say that James Marsden's Cyclops lets loose an optic blast, which is something we've seen in trailers already.

That lends some credence to the leaked footage being real. Additionally, the rest of what happens in the alleged scene feels plausible, at least for the "Avengers" movie we've been promised.

Adding fuel to the fire that this X-Men-centric scene is real is that Marvel has started to pull the clip from the internet. If you search for "Avengers: Doomday" leaks on X (Twitter), you'll find plenty of posts that say, "This media has been disabled in response to a report from the copyright owner."

However, there is a wrinkle to this development. While newer versions of the clip have been pulled, older versions are still up on X (Twitter). The original version of the clip has no audio and is heavily pixelated. The newer versions, by comparison, looked much clearer, even though they still appeared to be unfinished scenes.

That leads me to believe that Marvel is pulling clips of the newer version of the scene because they could appear to be part of "Doomsday," rather than because it's definitely a scene from the new film. If the scene really was in "Avengers: Doomsday," it wouldn't make sense for Marvel to still leave the pixelated, older clips up. But this wouldn't be the first time aspects of a movie leaked out before its release.
