Arjan Precision Metals: Building an Export-Driven Manufacturing Enterprise From Legacy

Arjan Precision Metals PVT. LTD.

Many manufacturers often invest heavily in sales teams, trade shows, and advertising to build an international presence. Arjan Precision Metals Pvt. Ltd., a contract manufacturing company, followed a different path. According to Yogesh Chandani, Director of Business Development, the company expanded across Europe and North America through consistent execution, strong customer relationships, and a reputation built over decades.

The company traces its origins to 1971, when Chandani's grandfather, Mr. Teckchand Chandani, established a small manufacturing unit in Jamnagar, India. The path was followed by Chandani's father, Mr. Dilip T. Chandani, during a significantly hard economic period within India, and because of his hard work and experience, the company not only sustained but grew exponentially.

Since then, each generation in the family has contributed to the company's evolution. Chandani frames the business as one shaped by continuity, where values were transferred alongside operational knowledge. Today, as a third-generation leader, he positions himself as both a custodian of that legacy and an architect of its future direction.

According to Chandani, a defining phase in the company's growth came under the leadership of his elder brother, Raj Chandani. "Raj was the one who broadened the company into the export market, directly catering to OEMs and exporting out of India," Chandani says, framing this transition as the moment the company established its global trajectory.

Chandani emphasizes that consistent delivery timelines and manufacturing precision became the company's most effective drivers of business development. "We worked on earning trust before anything else. Satisfied customers led to referrals, and referrals created new opportunities for us," he says. Over time, he adds, this cycle strengthened the company's credibility across markets. He views reputation as a form of capital in manufacturing, where reliability often carries greater weight than visibility.

The company now serves customers across the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Austria, Poland, and other European markets. Chandani attributes this international reach to performance rather than promotion, noting that each new market was entered through demonstrated capability and customer confidence.

At its core, the company manufactures precision-machined components for OEMs, telecommunications, and industrial manufacturers. These components, while often small in size, play a critical role in larger systems and supply chains. "Parts that we manufacture are mostly physically performing components," Chandani explains. "For example, we are working on electronic charging station components for EVs and motor shafts. We make sockets and pins that are molded into the charging plug and inside the vehicle to pass the current." He positions these components as essential to performance, where precision directly impacts reliability and safety.

The company's manufacturing capabilities extend across automotive, electronics, and broader industrial applications. Chandani emphasizes that the importance of such components often goes unnoticed, even though they are integral to the functioning of complex products. This perspective reinforces the company's focus on precision engineering and quality assurance at every stage of production. Alongside manufacturing per custom specification, the company offers reverse engineering for cost reduction, higher product lifespan, and improved application in terms of metallurgy.

As industry dynamics evolve, Chandani also emphasizes the role of leadership in manufacturing. "Historically, the industrial sector operated with leaders behind the factory floor, letting product catalogs speak for themselves," he says. "In today's global and connected market, that creates friction. When a large telecom provider or an advanced electronics OEM chooses a partner, they are entering a long-term strategic relationship. They need to understand who is leading the company, what values drive operations, and how committed the leadership is to future capacity."

This shift has informed his approach to visibility and communication. "I made a deliberate decision to step forward as the voice of the company because transparency builds velocity," Chandani says. "By using digital platforms, video, and professional networks, I can communicate directly with international decision makers."

He views personal leadership visibility as a strategic advantage in modern B2B environments. "When a prospective buyer in Europe or the States can see me actively explaining how our advanced infrastructure like Dimension Sorting Machine, Chiron machine, Traub index with double turret and double spindle, live tool driven, Swiss Screw Sliding Head stock, multi axis of Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Lazer Star, Technica Rotaflex transfer machine or how our Buffoli rotari transfer machine platforms run seamless cycle times, it removes the geographic distance. It transforms us from an anonymous overseas supplier into an accessible, highly transparent, and premium tier one technology partner," Chandani explains. "In modern B2B, a strong personal brand is the ultimate tool for corporate trust."

Looking forward, Chandani aims to steer the company toward greater technological integration. Investments in advanced machinery and process optimization are underway, alongside a strategic expansion into sectors such as aerospace, medical, and oil and gas. He highlights automation as a central priority, viewing it as essential to maintaining competitiveness in global markets.

"My vision is to build the first dark factory in Jamnagar through our own plant," Chandani says. "We want to convert our 41,000 square foot facility into a 100,000 square foot, fully automated manufacturing environment with complete accountability, quality assurance, inspection, and traceability. The goal is to create a world-class automated plant serving global OEM customers with consistent, end-to-end quality." He frames this transformation as a necessary step toward building a future-ready enterprise capable of scaling globally.

Chandani credits ethics as fundamental to the company's identity. "We are an ethical manufacturing plant. Since my grandfather's establishment, we have worked in a very ethical manner," he says. "We do not bypass our customers. If someone approaches us to manufacture the same part, we make it clear that we will only proceed with proper permissions." He positions this discipline as essential to sustaining long-term partnerships and preserving trust.

Chandani believes that ethics and precision are inseparable in manufacturing. In his view, without a strong ethical foundation, sustainable business cannot exist. This philosophy continues to guide decision-making as the company expands into new markets and sectors.

According to Arjan Precision Metals, trust, reliability, and quality continue to be the core drivers of success. In an increasingly digital and competitive landscape, they see reputation as one of the most valuable assets a manufacturer can build. The company's journey from a family workshop to an international supplier reflects this belief.
